Watching the Artic Monkeys at the Brits yesterday made me smile at Joe's memory:"Ha you think its funny, turning rebellion into money".At least Alex Turner addled though he was, still knew which circle of hell he was inhabiting.

Dear Heather,
right now I´m downloading the sub pop singles collection you filed some time ago. Thanx for this huge package. I continued from their on to learn hat you have an interest in joe Strummer as well. Do you know his comment on crawfish from the soundtrack of the temple movie? I´d like to send it to you. Do you have a copy of the song he plays in "I hired a contract killer? I searched for it many times but still haven´t found it yet. Would be nice to hear from you. Greetings from Berlin, germany UWE

I was lucky enough to catch a Clash show in New Orleans during their Combat Rock North American tour in '82. There was some uncertainty about whether they'd show because Joe Strummer had gone "MIA" for several gigs just prior to New Orleans. Well... they showed and the show was "stellar"!

FYI, your Strummer zip file doesn't contain the same mp3's you have listed in your blog post. Just curious, which version is the correct track list?

ryan, the original show was mislabeled all over the place. I renamed the tracks all the right way and changed the tags to be right as well. pretty sure that what is on the blog as individual tracks and setlist is correct; i didn't realize the zip was different. Blog individual tracks should be correct - and the zip file SONGS are correct, you just may need to do some re-naming.

My first visit to your blog, which I found via (I think) Project Playlist, but I will definitely be back.
I like your ears!
