That frickin unavoidable pout
I was in Starbucks last night, and every time I pop in there and see this poster I kind of want to smack Paul right in those pouty lips, as much as I love him. But hey, instead, I'll take a picture and share the joy with you!
Have you seen this? Is it just me?
It's like "McCartney Does Blue Steel."

He kind of looks as though he just shat himself, and is surprised.
If you can't stand the pout, imagine working in a Starbucks on June 5th, the release date of that album and having to listen to it on a loop for your entire shift. I mean, I like Paul McCartney and all, and the video for 'Dance Tonight' is pretty cute, but good lord, do you know how many times 13 tracks loop in an eight hour shift? A lot of times.
p.s. I realise that is a really bitter comment for the first time I ever post on this blog, so I will end it by saying that I love everything you post and keep it up!
C'mon, Paul. When you gonna lay Magnum on us?
Ken Dodd,anyone?
His new single is available for free dowload on iTunes
Well, he's known for his charity - I wonder if he's ever done anything for kid that can't read good.
He's too old for that picture. It would have been cute if he was half his current age.
Ha Ha! Yes, Heather, I see Blue Steel.
Next time I see that face as I order my Soy Latte, I'm sure I'll snigger.
"McCartney does Blue Steel"!!!
BWAHAHAHAHA...too funny!
Murgs
That's hilarious! I always wonder who thought it was a good idea to get Paul to pout and hold his jacket like that, the way he did when he was much younger. He looks absolutely ridiculous.
actually I think that one was closer to Magnum.
Yeah, it sums up the paradox that is Sir Paul: awesome musician, kind of a doofus at times.
New album is pretty great, though, I have to admit. Pity the poor baristas, though.
I'm so glad someone else made that connection! I actually work for Starbucks so I've been staring at that $^#& photo for over a month now (still love ya Paul) and that was one of the first things I thought of! :)
I second Camille's statement though that working at Starbucks on June 5th sucked. I almost have to wonder if that was a good marketing decision because on one hand yes everyone who walked into a Starbucks on that day heard part of the album but by forcing every Starbucks employee to listen to it on repeat really annoyed a lot of them and (at my store at least) anytime someone would ask about the album the baristas would shutter and make faces just because they were so tired of hearing it and it was obvious to the customers.
paul needs at least ONE person to tell him 'no' sometimes...
Well he can't help it that he's really, really, ridiculously good looking!
It looks like he's having a stroke... I see this pic every morning too as I'm ordering my latte. Someone call a doctor...
Just catching up here over the weekend...
Thanks for the belly laugh. That is too hilarious and exactly right on!
