I will be happy to confirm or deny after I conduct some field research.

(cue Tommy Boy line: "Ugh. I can actually HEAR you getting fatter.")

And, as a resident of the city, I must also point out that Fort Collins, CO won 1st place in the small cities category!!! Not too shabby taking first place in both categories, Colorado. Now brace yourselves for all the people who are going to move here.

i can confirm that red top does indeed have the best burgers not only in the springs, but in the many states i've visited in my life. they're as big as a dinner plate and, even better, the meat is fresh and provided by local ranchers. the fries are cut fresh each morning. (this is all documented in the fascinating book "fast food nation," by the way.) i always make it a point to drop by red top when i'm in colorado springs. man, i'm getting real hungry just thinking about it. unfortunately, i'm 500 miles away at the moment.

I'll never forget walking into my first Best Buy store in Colorado Springs, around 1992, and finding all these glorious import CDs I had been searching for forever. This was before eBay and Amazong made it far too easy to find music.

I once lived in Colorado and let me tell you that is the greatest place in the States.
I went back to see PJ and I was just amazed.
I wish I could live there again.

The rest of the country reads about Colorado guys pretending to be bridge trolls and crazy ladies telling people to electrocute chickens in their homes. When California people make fun of your state, you have some work to do.

Big city? CS is a beautiful town and has some good people. But the rightwingers (probably Money's target demographic) run that place, which makes me very uninterested in hanging out there. I do love the Gold Mine Road that runs across train trestles toward Cripple Creek. Always reminds me of Radiohead's The Bends.

Thanks for the great sonunds especially the World!!!!
