I have obsessively been clicking over at the Contrast Podcast site for the last 24 hours or so, waiting for the unveiling of this week's podcast (to which I contributed a track & a spoken intro piece). Our theme this time is really superb, so carve out an hour of your day to spend with your favorite bloggers as we all pick our Favorite Beatles Covers.Since everyone and their grandma feels the need to record a Beatles cover at some point in their career, we had a lot of fodder to choose from. Wooooo. Thanks again. The new Mojo magazine is a a listing of the top Beatles songs as voted by a celebrity panel (Oasis, Brian Wilson) and also includes a CD of covers. I didn't pick it up yet but thought I'd give you a heads up since it went with the post.
I can't wait to listen to it later today...and dammit, there are two T's in Elliot, Tim. :)
I've never heard the track you picked out Heather, so I'm much looking forward to it.

Sparks doing I Want To Hold Your Hand? Must hear that one. I don't know what it is about cover songs, but they are addicting. I have over 3000 of them, but rarely do I prefer the cover over the original. Still, they're fun to collect.
That Al Green cover is sooo good.
