"I can make it longer if you like the style . . ."
Here is my music journalism debut. You may call it underwhelming, but it is pretty dang cool for me. From Denver's alt-weekly The Westword. I appreciate all those who offered suggestions for what I should review and their kudos for my opportunity. Hopefully there'll be more to come!
i have to say i rather disagreed with your review of mr lemons. i felt the album had a general hollow feeling and was my least favorite of his studio albums. the unlucky 7 ep, however, was freaking amazing.
Make sure to post your first negative review--should be interesting ;)
Whenever I see little capsule reviews, I think of Robert Christgau's Village Voice stuff. It's a challenge to fit something meaningful into such a small place (I reviewed books for a number of years).
Location: Colorado, originally by way of California, United States

but the review style was good.
I really like both of those albums, though I think Glen's "Abulum" is prolly his best solo.
Where can a guy get the Unlucky 7 EP?
Congrads, very cool.
I hope you continue to check my blog, i wish my traffic was higher, but just in case, i'll plug myself some more. yellowledbelly.blogspot.com
I haven't heard the album, but congratulations on the review. You have a great writing style that's also very evident here on the blog.
-- Fellow Pearl Jam fanatic :)
Congratulations!
It's very cool seeing your name in print. I'm a huge fan of the blog - but now you're on to bigger and better things!
Give Paste Magazine a try - they will publish music reviews. It's worth a try!
From one alt-weekly reviewer to another -- good work.
Congrats on the gig!
