Noel Gallagher acoustic in Toronto - 7 Nov 2006

Following his appearance in New York for the premiere of the new Oasis tour documentary Lord Don't Slow Me Down (which involves girls flashing their boobies at the Gallagher lads, and midgets jumping out of cakes?), Noel Gallagher played a glittering acoustic set in Toronto last Tuesday with guitarist Gem Archer. Thanks to James in Ontario, I've got a splendid recording of the full show for you in mp3 (the same setlist he played Thursday in Los Angeles). It is laden with rarities and b-sides, and even a Beatles cover. I've always preferred Oasis songs that Noel takes lead on, and as Torr says with his characteristic frankness and humor, this is "a glimpse into how great Noel could be without his knobhead of a brother."

    cool suff. thanks. i agree noel is the backbone. he's the songwriter, yada yada, but liam made them stars. IMO.

    was at the show and it was classic Noel. He was in brilliant form as always. But Oasis is not Oasis without the amps cranked to 11 and the snarl of Liam. Thanks for the mp3's!

    great stuff this is ive well wanted to get one of noel and gems live gigs theyve been doing on tour,there great,you heard paris gig or gig fot xfm in manchester? have you got either of them aswell? cheers though.

    i have watched many times the acoustic set he did at cabaret sauvage in paris (msnpresents.com/oasis) but cannot for life of me find anywhere to download the version of slide away, don't look back in anger, and listen up that he performed on this tour.
